Rise of karma

આત્માએ દેહ ધર્યો, 

થયો એક જન્મ. 

આત્માએ દેહ છોડ્યો, 

થયું એક મૃત્યુ. 

આત્મા તો છે અજન્મય, 

થાય છે દેહનું જન્મ ને મરણ. 

આત્માની સાક્ષીએ થઈ એક પ્રક્રિયા, 

નામ પડ્યું એનું જિંદગી. 

આગળ થવાની લ્હાયમાં દોડતી રહી જિંદગી, 

પહોંચી મૃત્યુની સમીપ.

આત્માએ કર્યો એક સવાલ જિંદગીને, 

શાને તે કંઈ આપ્યું નહીં સાથે લઈ જવા માટે? 

આત્મા લઈ જશે સાથે કર્મોનું ભાથું, 

દેહ નથી કંઈ લાવતો કે લઈ જતો સાથે. 

આત્મકલ્યાણ અર્થે જયારે થાય કર્મોનો ઉદય, 

થાય છે સાર્થક ત્યારે મનુષ્ય દેહનો જન્મ.  

    

            જયારે પૃથ્વી પર કોઈ જીવનો જન્મ થાય છે ત્યારે તેના દેહમાં એક ચેતન તત્વનું અસ્તિત્વ હોય છે, હકીકતમાં આ ચેતન તત્વ જ દેહ ધારણ કરે છે. જન્મ તો શરીરનો થાય છે, આત્મા તો અજન્મય છે. આ ચેતન તત્વ શરીરમાંથી વિદાય થાય છે ત્યારે  શરીરનું મૃત્યુ થાય છે. આત્મા તો અમર જ રહે છે. 

             ઈશ્વરે ગણીને આ શરીરમાં શ્વાસો ભર્યા છે.આત્માની સાક્ષીએ શરીરના શ્વાસો ચાલતા રહે છે. આ પ્રક્રિયાને આપણે જીવન તરીકે ઓળખીએ છીએ.  શ્વાસો પુરા એટલે જિંદગી પણ પૂરી. જન્મ અને મૃત્યુ આપણા હાથમાં નથી પણ, તેની વચ્ચે જીવાતી જિંદગી તો આપણી જ છે. ઈશ્વરે ગણીને આપેલા શ્વાસોને મન ભરીને જીવવાની મજા તો આપણી જ છે. તો શા માટે જીવનની નાની-નાની ખુશીઓ જાણવા અને માણવાને બદલે બસ જીવનનો જાણે  ઢસરડો થતો હોય એવું લાગે? 

              જીવનમાં સમૃદ્ધિ માટે, ભૌતિક સુખ-સગવડતા માટે, આર્થિક પ્રગતિ માટે, કીર્તિ માટે આગળ ને આગળ દોડતા રહીએ જ છીએ પણ, મંઝિલ મળતી નથી. મંઝિલ તો અંતર આત્મામાં જ છે પછી તે બહાર ક્યાંથી મળે? આ બધું મેળવેલો માનવી પણ અશાંત રહે છે, કેમકે, પરમ શાંતિ તો તેના અંતરાત્મામાં બિરાજે છે. તેના વિચારો,મન, વચન, કર્મ જ તેને શાંતિ બક્ષે છે. કર્મ અશાંતિનું કરીએ અને શાંતિ ખોજતા રહીએ તો એ ક્યાંથી મળે? 

             જયારે શરીરમાંથી આત્મા વિદાય લે છે ત્યારે પોતાની સાથે આખુ જીવન દોડીને ભેગું કરેલું કંઈ જ સાથે નથી લઈ જતો. સત્તા, સંપત્તિ, હોદ્દો, નામના બધું અહીં જ રહી જાય છે, શરીર છોડતા પહેલા આત્મા જીવનને એક જ સવાલ કરે છે કે તે સાથે લઈ જવા મને શું આપ્યું? ત્યારે છેલ્લા શ્વાસો લેતું જીવન નિશબ્દ બની જાય છે. આત્મા તો પોતાની સાથે કર્મોનું ભાથું લઈ જવા માંગે છે. જીવનભર  ડગલે ને પગલે કોઈ પણ સ્થિતિમાં થતું આપણું વર્તન- વ્યવહાર,નાના -મોટાને અપાતું માન-સન્માન, સદ્દવિચારોનું આચરણ, પોતાની જાત પ્રત્યે, પરિવાર માટે, સમાજ, દેશ ને દુનિયા માટેની ફરજ અને કર્તવ્ય જ આપણું કર્મ ને ધર્મ છે.જયારે આ કર્મો પ્રત્યે જાગૃતિ આવે ને તેનો ઉદય થાય ત્યારે જ મનુષ્યદેહનો જન્મ સાર્થક થાય છે ને આત્મકલ્યાણનું ભાથું બંધાય છે. ને ત્યારે જ સાચો જન્મ થયો કહેવાય છે.

ENGLISH TRANSLATE 

The soul took on a body,

 Born a born.

 The soul left the body,

 One death happened.

 The soul is unborn,

 The body is born and dies.

 A process witnessed by the soul,

 The life of the name.

 Life goes on in the future,

 Reached near death.

 The soul asked a question to life,

 Why didn't he give anything to take along?

 The soul will carry with it the pattern of deeds,

 The body does not bring or take anything with it.

 In the sense of self-welfare, when karma rises,

 Meaningful happens when the human body is born.

      

 When a living being is born on earth, a conscious element exists in its body, in fact this conscious element assumes the body.  The body is born, the soul is unborn.  The body dies when this conscious element leaves the body.  The soul remains immortal.

 God has counted the breaths in this body. The witnesses of the soul keep on breathing the body.  This process is what we call life.  Breathing is enough to complete life.  Birth and death are not in our hands, but the life between them is ours.  It is fun for us to live with the breaths that God has given us.  So why does life seem to be slipping away instead of knowing and enjoying the small pleasures of life?

 We keep on running for prosperity in life, for material comforts, for economic progress, for fame, but we do not get the destination.  If the destination is in the distance, then where can it be found outside?  Even a human being who has attained all this remains restless, for the ultimate peace is in his conscience.  Only his thoughts, mind, words, deeds give him peace.  If we do karma of unrest and keep looking for peace, where can we get it?

  

 When the soul departs from the body, it does not carry with it anything that has been collected by running with it all its life.  Power, wealth, position, name all remain here, before leaving the body the soul asks life the same question that what gave me to take with it?  Then the life that takes the last breaths becomes nonsense.  The soul wants to take the burden of deeds with it.  It is our duty and duty to behave in any situation, respect to small and big, conduct of good thoughts, towards ourselves, family, society, country and the world.  Only when there is awareness and rise, the birth of the human body becomes meaningful and the pattern of self-welfare is formed.  That is when true birth is said to have taken place.
