The essence of life

હું દુર્ગુણો દુર કરી, 

જીવનમાં સદગુણો કેળવી શકું. 

હું કંઈ જ ના બની શકું તો કંઈ નહીં, 

જીવન મારું બીજાને ઉપયોગી બનાવી શકું. 

છે મારી આકાંક્ષા એક સારૂ ચારિત્ર્ય ઘડવાની, 

પ્રભુને પ્રાર્થના કે એવો જીવનનો સાર બનાવી શકું. 

          

           કોઈ વ્યક્તિ સંપૂર્ણ નથી. ભગવાને દરેક વ્યક્તિમાં દુર્ગુણો અને સદગુણોનું સંયોજન રચ્યું છે. આપણે આપણા દુર્ગુણોને જાણતા હોવા છતાં તેના પ્રત્યે બેધ્યાન રહીયે છીએ. જીવનમાં દુર્ગુણોથી દુર રહેવું એટલું સરળ પણ નથી. ગમે તેટલા પ્રયત્નો કરીએ તેનાથી બચી નથી શકાતું. બસ, આ પ્રયત્નોને અવિરત રાખી ધીમે -ધીમે  દુર્ગુણો પર વિજય મેળવવો જોઈએ. તેના માટે જરૂરી છે સારા પુસ્તકોનું વાંચન, સારા લોકોનો સંગાથ અને સકારાત્મકતા. તેનાથી જીવનમાં દૂર્ગુણો પર વિજય મેળવી સદગુણો કેળવી શકીશું. 

           જીવનમાં ગમે તેટલો મોટો હોદ્દો, સત્તા કે સંપત્તિ મેળવી હોય, પણ, કોઈ બાળકને વેઠ, બાળમજૂરી કરતા જોઈને દિલ ના કંપે તો એ શું કામનું? કોઈ બાળક આગળ વધવા ઇચ્છતું હોય ને મજબૂરીવશ જીવનમાં પ્રગતિ ના સાધી શકતું હોય ને તે બધું આપણી નજર સામે હોવા છતાં બેધ્યાન રહીએ ત્યારે આ હોદ્દો, સંપત્તિ શું કામના? જીવન જયારે જરૂરિયાતમંદોને ઉપયોગમાં આવી શકે ત્યારે એ જ જીવન કુદરતની દ્રષ્ટિએ ઉપયોગી સાબિત થાય છે. 

            જીવનમાં આપણે કંઈ જ ના બની શકીએ તો કંઈ નહીં, પણ, જો સારા માનવી બની શકીએ તો એ ઘણું છે. ભગવાનને પ્રાર્થના કે, હું મારામાંથી દુર્ગુણોને દુર કરી શકું, ને સદ્દગુણોને કેળવી શકું. જેવા વિચારો એવું આચરણ હોય છે. સારા લોકોનો સંગાથ, ઉત્તમ પુસ્તકોનું વાંચનથી મનમાં સારા વિચારબીજ રોપાય છે અને સારા વિચારબીજથી સારા ચારિત્રયનું ઘડતર થાય છે. હું સારા ચરિત્ર ઘડતરથી ઈશ્વરે આપેલા જીવનફૂલને મહેકાવી શકું એવી યાચના.....

ENGLISH TRANSLATION 

  I removed the vices,

 I can cultivate virtues in life.

 If I can't be nothing, nothing,

 I can make my life useful to others.

 My aspiration is to build a good character,

 Pray to the Lord that I can make the essence of such a life.

 No person is perfect.  God has created a combination of vices and virtues in every person.  Even though we know our vices, we remain oblivious to them.  Avoiding vices in life is not so easy.  No matter how hard we try, it cannot be avoided.  Simply, these efforts should be continued unabated and gradually the vices should be conquered.  It requires reading good books, associating with good people and positivity.  With this, we will be able to overcome the vices in life and cultivate virtues.

 No matter how big a position, power or wealth you may have gained in life, what good is it if a child does not tremble at the sight of child labor?  What is the use of this position, wealth when a child wants to move forward and cannot progress in life by force and we remain inattentive even though it is all in front of our eyes?  The same life proves useful in terms of nature when it can be used by the needy.

 Nothing if we can't be anything in life, but if we can be good human beings, that's a lot.  Pray to God that I can remove the vices from me, and cultivate the virtues.  Such thoughts are such conduct.  Good company of good people, reading good books sows good thoughts in the mind and good thoughts build good character.  A plea that I can glorify the flower of life given by God by cultivating good character .....
